DANGEROUSLY FIT MAVERICK MACE – ADJUSTABLE MACE & CLUB

Adjustable Club Side Gamma Cast (Alternating Shield Cast)

In this week’s video, I’m demonstrating the Side Gamma Cast with our Maverick Torque Club, a powerful exercise that targets your shoulders, grip, chest, back, and core.

What Makes This Move Unique?

With a standard shield cast, your shoulders stay square while the club rotates around them. In this variation, both your shoulders and thoracic spine rotate, adding a layer of challenge. Decelerating the club back into the order position requires serious control.

Here’s the breakdown:

  • Inside Elbow Circle: Moves the club from behind the body to the front.
  • Outside Elbow Circle: Moves the club from the front of the body to behind it.

Use the club’s weight during the backswing to assist with the rotational movement—it’s all about flow and control.

Getting Started

  • Start with two hands for better control while learning the movement.
  • Once confident, try it with one hand, challenging your coordination and strength.

Key Technique Tips

  1. Inside Shield Cast (Inside Elbow Circle): Cast the club over the opposite shoulder (e.g., right hand → left shoulder). Use the momentum of the backswing to drive torso rotation.
  2. Outside Shield Cast (Outside Elbow Circle): Cast the club over the same shoulder (e.g., right hand → right shoulder), similar to an arm cast. Complete the outside elbow circle to rotate your shoulders and thoracic spine.

Take it slow, focus on precision, and let the movement flow naturally. Happy training! 💪
